Post Notification Recap

Once the Death Notification Team leaves the Next of Kin’s location, talk to one another about the experience and the Next of Kin’s reaction. This provides an opportunity to discuss what went well during the notification as well as identify areas for improvement. Think about some of the ways you deal with stress. For some it's engaging in physical activity; for others it's talking to someone. Utilize those skills in the aftermath of delivering a death notification. If necessary, seek appropriate resources for yourself.
